I had a terrible experience with US Expressrelocation AKA Social Moving Group. Everything seemed fine during the time I booked this company until it was time to move. First we agreed on 03/12/16 to 03/13/16 as the move date. I was surprised to get a call from Ben on the morning of Friday 03/11/16 telling me that their driver was soon to arrive at our apartment for the move. There was no one home since that wasn't what we had agreed upon and this was communicated to Ben. Long story short, they almost didn't move our things on the agreed date until I had to call them several times as Ben claimed that their driver couldn't return to NC though it wasn't our fault the driver stopped by on a day earlier than when we agreed on. Ben eventually found a driver to move our stuff on the evening of Sunday 03/13/16. Upon arrival of our stuff on 03/19/16, my husband's laptop had been stolen with some of our moving boxes torn, our clothes and books thrown on the floor among other things. I called Ben to report the situation of our things when they arrived and he revealed that the driver wasn't theirs and they had contracted out our moving. This we never knew about at the time of the move. Ben promised to file a claim regarding this matter. I sent him pictures as proof on 04/03/16 but never heard back from them ever since. This company has left a bitter taste in our mouths when it comes to using movers for a move. My husband and I had more headache dealing with them than we would have should we have done the move ourselves. I DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE RECOMMENDING THIS COMPANY!!

I relocated from Charlotte, NC to Austin, TX last week. The process started by me not wanting to spend 10K on relocating my one bedroom apartment so I went with U.S Express as the quote was around 2K. My experience, in one sentence is, “you get what you pay for.” Initially, I asked John (the owner/Administrator - no idea of last name) what I needed to do to have my stuff delivered July 5th. This was mid-June when the planning began. He said “have to pick up Friday the 29th, not 100%, but will be moving the right direction if we pick up then.” Sure, have my things picked up the 29th, they were 5 hours later of their window due to another job being a full pack not just loading. I heard nothing from the company until I was called on Monday the 2nd by a driver saying that he need to drop my stuff “tomorrow.” I replied, “that’s funny, as my date is the 5th and I do not have an apartment until that day.” He was extremely rude and I had to call Ben, the dispatch, 7-8 times to get him to explain and admit finally that he released the load early mistakenly (“trying to help me out” aka not listening to my instructions of the 5th at all) and that now I was going to be delayed because of the holiday and the fact that their “50K truck” can’t sit and wait for my “2K” load as that makes no sense for their business. Okay, so I am a less valued customer because I am a single female with fewer things rather than a large family and need to be concerned with how much money they are making not that they have my entire life in some warehouse/in Dallas on a truck getting wet. I was, at that point, told that the 5th (that I scheduled 3 weeks prior) was no longer an option and that I needed to not freak out. Both John and Ben promised me Friday the 6th between 3-7 verbally after we had a screaming match over the phone. I take full ownership that I was irate at this point as I was starting new role Monday and didn’t have my things even in the city yet. Friday, I call Ben at 4PM and get no response until at 530PM, he texts me the driver’s number. I call the driver who had a complete attitude as well and was told “I’ll be honest, I haven’t even looked at your sheet, I am in Dallas and I won’t be there today 100%.” At this point, I change my tune because I literally feared that I would never get my stuff. I was called by the driver (not the owner or dispatch) and told that unfortunately due to the large loads they had, they wouldn’t be able to drop me until Tuesday Morning between 7-9AM. I was so upset that I didn’t react and just said okay. I have to leave for work at 715 (due to Austin traffic) so I was required to have leasing open my apartment for them (who showed up at 855AM via text) and was facetimed afterwards to ensure it was all there. I was to be emailed a list that I never got, nor did I ever heard from the company regarding the fact that I for sure have one box missing, potentially more and that I have other people’s things (see photos). The customer service with this company is about 18%, John is at least respectful and will hear you out and apologize. I was explained that Ben (dispatch) is so rude because he is “so stressed and feels the customer’s pain.” Not to mention, I’ve had to throw out multiple coats, sweatshirts, my memories and purses because they were full of mold. Overall, I will say you get what you pay for, I did finally get it, most of it is here and fine but they couldn’t care less for your schedule or time or concerns so not worth calling or trying to get a response, you’ll get ignored. I would highly suggest getting a Uhaul and doing it yourself or if you can afford it, utilize a real moving company. I’ve never felt more lied to or like I was in the wrong for things that were obviously out of my control. The worst part is the contract says 501-1500 miles, drop time is 4-14 business days so there’s nothing I can do as it was technically dropped the 12th business day. Thank you for reading, just trying to save someone a few stressful weeks and conversations.

These guys were incredible!! They came to my house and greeted me very kindly. They asked me what were any specific things that I wanted them to do and then we discussed a game plan. From there they started moving and blanket wrapping all my major pieces and the wrapping was great! Really protected my things! Even when they delivered my items it was a great job. They put everything together and where I wanted to. They really did a great job and deserve all the credit in the world! For me, US express relocation is the best in moving business.

Exceptional service. Great customer service as Ben and Jessica provided me with the on-line quote and I approved the final contract on-line. Ben called me an hour in advance of his arrival and was on time. I was able to run out and get breakfast and coffee without worrying about them arriving. I am a single dad. They began work immediately in a courteous and professional manner. The move from start to finish was completed 2-3 hours ahead of my estimate. All items were properly wrapped with no damages to my items nor the property. The price quoted was the price that I paid. Great value and service that I recommend to anyone. Thank you Ben and your team!

US Express movers went above and beyond our expectations for our move from GA to CO in January 2016. From the first contact, to the walk through with Ben, the timeliness of the estimate and smooth coordination of the actual move, they were in constant contact and very professional.
Our move consisted of one large household separated into two. All of the items were clearly marked and the loading and unloading processes were nearly seamless.
An overall excellent experience!

I moved to Las Vegas, NV. from Atlanta Georgia. I've moved a few times throughout my life and every time It's a stressful experience. One thing is for sure US Express Relocation helped take a large portion of that stress and worry away. The sales staff, John & his team did an excellent job helping me coordinate every step of my move; they were professional and accommodating through the entire process. They gave me a very fair rate, all of my boxes and furniture arrived safe and sound! Five stars to these guys- great job!! Thank you!

THIS IS NOT A PAID REVIEW!! This company legitimately exceeded my expectations. John was very helpful in setting up my quote over the phone. As expected, Ben called two days prior to let me know the exact date of arrival. The crew showed up within the two hour window that was given. The three movers were thorough and made sure everything was wrapped and packaged perfectly. I was under the impression that the truck could take several days to make it to my final destination but they arrived before I did! They had to wait a day for me. The crew on the unloading end was just as professional and finished unloading very quickly. Nothing was damaged and nothing was missing. My only recommendation would be to have US Express come out to physically view your stuff before the move to get an accurate cubic feet count. Because we did it over the phone, the cubic feet estimate was off and I ended up having to pay for 100 more cubic feet. It was not a huge problem, but it would have been nice to know the exact price up front. But all in all, a VERY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE! Well Done, US Express!

First John tells me that he is already going to Oregon and can give me a discount. That was the first two lies. They picked up my belongings on time but that was the only thing they did as promised. John did not explain to me how he was pricing the move and I was stupid not to ask. There was no way he was able to weigh my things before quoting me. But after they picked up my things I was told I had gone over the weight and was charged $200 more. When I got my things I found out why. They had taken things that did not belong to me, were not on my list, and sent them. On the day things were to arrive they did not. No phone call or explanation. When I called to see what was up I was yelled at by John and Ben. They have quite a scam going. The one you call is never in office and has to talk to the other and give a call back. They never call back. I had to call them back and got lectures, was talked over and finally threatened. Their tactic is to talk over you and not allow any response or questions. John became angry when I wanted answers and actually told me they were going to hold my things for two months. I hung up on him so he texted me more threats. Well John, I work long hours too, but I don't spend them trying to cheat people as you do. Four times I took off work to wait on my things only to never have them show up. I finally got most of my things. I hope the movers are enjoying the rest of my belongings. While standing beside me I actually heard one of them say that they were supposed to go south to deliver but were going to make him wait two more days. They thought this was very funny. He also said he forgot his license and his partner had to purchase his marijuana for him (in Oregon). I have never seen such bad truck driving. They could not back up and had to have help. This was a horrible experience for me. I would never refer these people to anyone. They stole from me, caused me concern and worry, harassed me and were so very rude and condescending. DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE! Will be the worst mistake of your life.

Michael, Joseph, and Polo were fast, very careful, and fun. Having used other movers in the past we expected some accidental damage or nicks. Nothing lost, nothing damaged! And our stuff was in a warehouse for a month!

Advise-if you do estimate over phone, over-estimate your boxes or pack before you call. We had no idea we had so much stuff so when we were done packing our cubic footage was alot more than we estimated. Your final cost will be based on that cubic footage. Also be clear with how far the movers have to go to access your things. More than 75 feet? Stairs? Tell them during your estimate.

They were still the best price AND most importantly to us - GREAT packers and NO loss or damage.

My husband was transferred to Texas from Georgia and we had gotten a few quotes. We decided on this company and Ben was the reason. I was not easy, I had read reviews and required an open line of communication and he provided that. Not only did they do a great job but they arrived 2 days ahead of schedule. They wrapped all my furniture well and were efficient and knowledgeable in their jobs. The men who loaded the truck were kind and understanding of my demands of ensuring the quoted price was what I received. The only overage was by choice to pack small items into larger wardrobe boxes to ensure an easier move. The boxes were well worth the extra price. The delivery truck , which was a semi was unable to get get down our country driveway so there was an additional fee, however it was in my opinion was worth it. The men who came had a long walk with a LOT of items and were gracious and did not complain. I felt they worked very hard and I bought them lunch and felt like they deserved more. It was not an easy move, but they got it done with very few casualties, and the few items broken were not on them but on my packing skills. I believe they went above and beyond, even comforting me when I found a box of my late mothers clothes and started sobbing. They were comforting and ensured that her bench and items were packed extra well. I was very happy with all the gentlemen that helped us move. I am very grateful for the work they did and how well they loaded and unloaded and made sure they did their best, that is all anyone can ask. I would use them again in a minute.

I appreciated the fact that although we were just a few days from our move date, I was able to take a few items off of our move list and add one different item. The staff worked with me and stressed that it was my move and my satisfaction came first. Also, the men who did the moving, were polite and respectful and very careful with our belongings. Not only did they wrap things that needed protection, but they looked out to avoid banging into doors and surroundings. They were very aware of being efficient BUT quick; there was no time wasted. I would highly recommend US EXPRESS RELOCATION.

I recently accepted a job offer in another state and wanted to start my new job as soon as possible, therefore, I only had a couple of weeks to pack and move. I contacted several moving companies, but decided to use US Express because the quoted price was competitive with the other companies and they could do it the quickest. The guys that moved me were polite and on time. The only issue I had was that one of my mirrors was broken during the move. I expressed my dissatisfaction to John and he deducted the cost of the mirror from my final bill.

I will never use this company again!! US Express Relocation provided us with poor moving services. I went with them due to their low competitive pricing. And I didn’t feel hassled at the time of booking with John. When it came to confirming the pick up time no one would return my calls. I was originally quoted $1600 for moving services from AL to TX. When they showed up I was given a “new quote” with all of these hidden fees that increase the price to over $2300. I was told that they would deliver my mother’s things by the day I requested which was a lie. When I asked the driver (Merick)why it was being delivered early, he told me that they have another customers furniture behind my mother’s things that had to be delivered on time. When her items arrived several items were damaged. Wine glasses were broken along with improper assembly of her sofa and her bookcase was positioned upside down with dents on it. This is not my first rodeo with a moving company and I would say this was the worse experience I’ve ever had. My mother doesn’t have much, but what she does have was damaged with this move.

Made arrangements and received quote from John a few weeks before needing to have my belongings moved out of my storage unit in New Orleans to my new apartment in Atlanta. Items included a few pieces of furnture but mostly boxes and bags packed with smaller items. Found a few new knicks on a couple of the furniture pieces but honestly less wear and tear than I’ve ever ended up seeing after the previous moves I’ve made that were much shorter distances. A couple of boxes looked like they had torn apart during the process and were re-taped but haven’t come across anything missing or broken. Everything showed up within a few hours of ETA I was given so it was a reasonable time frame when factoring in the potential traffic delays that would be expected using interstate routes. This was my first time using a moving service and overall, I had a good experience using US express for my move.

Beware when you hire US Express Relocation services. I hired them to move over the weekend after Thanksgiving. I know that it was a holiday weekend, so before I booked the company, I asked several people, including the owner, if they would be open and willing to move my furniture the weekend after Thanksgiving. The owner, John, assured me that they would be able to move my furniture.

Well, I received a call and was asked to change my moving date to Sunday, November 19th. Luckily, I was able to change the date. The movers picked up my furniture on November 19th, and I was told that my furniture would be delivered the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Long story short, I didn’t get my furniture until December 1st. I was livid. I was not contacted nor notified of my delayed delivery date. I kept calling everyday for an update. After my furniture was picked up on November 19th, I was never given a firm delivery date. They changed my delivery date three times. My total balance due was nearly $500 more than what I was quoted.

If you like to be in control and want the ability to track your furniture, run away from this company. This is not the company for you. If you don’t care when your furniture arrives, go ahead and choose this company. I will never use them again. It was too much stress everyday to worry about my furniture delivery. The best part about this company are the movers. The actual movers are self-employed contractors. They constantly have to deal with angry customers, while the owner sits in his office and collects a check. I feel bad for the moving guys. They do not deserve to be the ones who endure and interact with angry customers.

The sad part is, if Us Express Relocation had just been honest and upfront about their company imposed flexible delivery date policy, I could have made a more informed decision on which company to choose. They took away my choice, by giving me misleading information about company moving policy and operations policy. Us Express Relocation needs to be honest upfront and state that they really have no control on delivery dates.

I had to move out of state quickly and this referral  to US EXPRESS LOCATION , located out of Norcross, Ga came my way. Lesson number one..If your binding estimate looks good it doesn't mean ANYTHING!  I asked for a binding contract.  I have moved over a dozen times in 15 years and this is by far the worst moving experience I ever had. My binding agreement  included stairs at pick up and delivery, etc.. and drop off at storage location. It started bad when BEN who took my order  told me "that there were no hidden fees"  in our agreement after we discussed and confirmed all. Then at pick up he   told me  that my quote now would be thousands more, knowing I was moving out of state the next day.I walked and he came down some. I was basically held hostage. Several items were not packed and broken even BEFORE being put in the truck. Many of the items that were labeled for OUT OF STATE were not on the delivery truck to Miami and were indeed  put  in Atlanta Storage space, I  found out later after delivery. I was promised a delivery date that was 5 days late. Finally  after no notice, they  wanted to delivere  late on Sunday and I wanted to wait until Monday as a result. They declined and said it would cost me $750 a day to hold. READ YOUR FINE PRINT!! I couldn't believe it. On top of that, they charged me another fee for shuttle which we discussed with the contract. I had it arranged for the van to drop off right in front of my apt and next to an elevetor to first floor, even though we had arrange for one flight of stairs at delivery with agreement. WRONG! They wanted more in cash before drop off. UNBELIEVEABLE!! I called customer service only to have it be BEN. Ben handles it all! I asked repeatly who is the owner. I find out later that BEN is the owner. THis is a NOT a good reputable professional moving company. This is a small "shady" operation. I am filing a claim for my damages goods. I hopeI receive it  but I am not convenient that I will. BEWARE!! Moving is stressful enough without having the moving sharks eat you alive.
